Mizan Markets LLC is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. We can explain how a security was screened and what each figure means. We cannot tell you what to do about it, and we won't, however the question is phrased.
We can't issue religious rulings
A compliance status is a reading of a company's filings against AAOIFI Shariah Standard No. 21. It is not a fatwa. Scholars differ on several of the underlying questions, and anything that turns on your own circumstances belongs with a qualified scholar rather than with us.
What we can do is show you exactly how a number was arrived at, so you or your scholar can judge it.
A screening result you think is wrong
Please do write about this one. Send the ticker and what you think is off. Every figure traces to a specific filing, so a disagreement is usually resolvable by looking at the same document — and when we're wrong we'd rather know.
