Privacy Policy
Draft — this document states what Mizan actually does and is provided for review by counsel. It is not final legal text.

What Mizan collects
- Account — the identifier Apple provides through Sign in with Apple, and your first name if you choose to share it. Mizan has no passwords.
- Brokerage data — holdings, balances and dividend transactions from the brokerages you link, read through SnapTrade. Mizan never receives your brokerage credentials, and the access token for each connection is encrypted at rest.
- Your settings — watchlist, saved screens, alert preferences, and the rule you set for what you will buy.
- Obligations — purification accrued from your dividends and donations you record.
What Mizan does not do
- Mizan does not sell your data, and does not share it with advertisers.
- Ask Hikma does not receive your holdings. It answers every question the same way for everyone, and personal details you type are not stored.
- Figures you enter for a one-off zakat calculation are used for that calculation and are not retained.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app, under Account. Deletion removes your profile, brokerage connections, holdings, ledger, alerts and settings, and revokes Mizan's Sign in with Apple authorisation. It cannot be undone.
Retention
Data is kept while your account is open. Aggregate, non-identifying figures may be retained after deletion.
